
One person was taken by Air Evac helicopter to the hospital following a motorcycle wreck on Germanville Road. According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, at 4:49 p.m. on Saturday authorities received a 911 call for the wreck.
The incident occurred in the 1200 block of Germanville Road, approximately four miles south of Brighton. The operator of the motorcycle was 48-year old Blaine Kruse of Fairfield. He had been southbound when for unknown reasons went off the roadway. He went into the west side ditch.
He was taken by helicopter to the University of Iowa Hospital with serious injuries.
Agencies assisting the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office at the scene included the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Brighton Fire and Rescue, and Jefferson County Ambulance. The incident remains under investigation.
