After one of the most successful seasons in Mid-Prairie football history, the Golden Hawks received a staggering 16 individual All-District honors in Class 2A District 6.
The Hawks had eight first-team selections. As a first-teamer, senior Hudson Ehrenfelt finished with 1,831 all-purpose yards and 24 touchdowns. He was fourth in Class 2A in all-purpose yards, sixth in rushing touchdowns, eighth in receiving touchdowns and ninth in total touchdowns. Ehrenfelt finished his time at Mid-Prairie as the all-time school record holder in touchdowns scored in a career and career catches.
Senior Kaden Kos was also on first-team. Defensively he piled up 80 tackles, 15 for loss and two interceptions, finishing 10th in 2A in total stops and ninth in tackles for loss. On offense, he had 718 all-purpose yards and 12 total touchdowns. He led Class 2A in special teams scores and was fifth in receiving touchdowns. Kos is Mid-Prairie’s all-time career touchdown catches and tackles leader.
Junior Brooks Weber was a first-team pick. Weber was 136 of 217 throwing for 1,973 yards, 30 touchdowns and nine interceptions. He led Class 2A in touchdown passes, was second in QBR, sixth in completion percentage and total touchdowns, eighth in passing yards and 10th in total completions. Weber’s season is the best in school history for passing yards and passing touchdowns.
Junior Carson Humphrey was a first-team choice. Humphrey collected 20 catches for 443 yards and eight touchdowns, finishing sixth in 2A in scoring receptions. Defensively, he accounted for five total takeaways, four of those interceptions, to five in 2A, and a pick six.
Junior Tommy Miller joined them on the first-team. He was part of an offensive line that helped the Hawks score 470 points this season, second most for the Golden Hawks in a year in program history, finishing with more than 3,700 yards as a team, third most for the program. On defense, Miller had 31 tackles, seven for loss and recovered a fumble.
Sophomore Ryan Henry was chosen first-team. He had 38 tackles, eight for loss with three sacks, three forced fumbles and a defensive touchdown on a scoop and score. Offensively, Henry ended with 42 carries, 291 yards and four touchdowns.
Sophomore Kale Miller was a first-team selection. Defensively, he had 29 tackles, six for loss, three sacks and a forced fumble. On special teams, he was 53 of 57 on Points after Touchdown, three of five on field goals with a long of 43 and drilled 32 touchbacks on kickoffs. Offensively, Miller hauled in seven catches for 43 yards.
Sophomore Kendrick Kos joined those six on first-team. Kos had three interceptions and a forced fumble to go with 37 tackles and a sack defensively. On offense Kos had 15 catches 153 yards and a pair of touchdown grabs.
Senior Cyris Christner was a second-team selection. He was part of an offensive line that helped the Hawks set 21 school records on that side of the ball. Defensively, Christner had four tackles, a TFL and a sack.
Senior Josh Turner made second-team. He finished with 29 tackles, seven for loss, and three sacks. Turner led Class 2A with four fumble recoveries.
Junior Nolan Jergens joined the second-team. He made 17 catches for 257 yards. Jergen’s seven touchdown grabs were seventh most in Class 2A this year.
Junior Caedyn Huston was a second-team pick. He had 45 tackles, four for loss. Huston had a pair of forced fumbles and two takeaways.
Junior Will Snider was a second-team selection up-front. He was part of a Golden Hawk line that helped Mid-Prairie score more than 50 points in a game, five times. Defensively, Snider had seven tackles, three for loss.
Honorable mention selections included senior Keatyn Myers and junior Quincy Duvall up front. That duo was part of an offensive line that helped Mid-Prairie average 43 points per game, top five in Class 2A. Senior Gentry Bontrager made 28 tackles and added an interception on defense to go with 11 catches a touchdown and 102 yards on offense. Junior Cecil Kelley made 38 tackles, six for loss and had three sacks.
The Golden Hawks finished the year at 9-2, rising as high as No. 3 in the Class 2A polls, tying the program record for wins and deepest playoff run, ending their season in the Class 2A Quarterfinals.
