Columbus Wildcat runner Iris Garza is receiving recognition for her performance at the State Championship meet in Fort Dodge earlier this month. Garza, a junior, was named Class 1A All-State by the Iowa Association of Track Coaches after posting a time of 20:19 to finish 29th out of the 158 competitors.

In order to be named All-State, a runner must finish top 30 in their respective class championship race.
