Washington County Hospital and Clinics (WCHC) has announced the opening of a newly renovated Behavioral Health space as part of the McCreedy Medical Clinic. The space is attached (or located in) to the main hospital in Washington.

Patients will be seen in the new space starting November 17.

The renovation provides a modern, comfortable setting that enhances privacy, accessibility, and coordination of care for patients seeking behavioral health support. As part of this transition, the Behavioral Health department now has a new phone number: 319-863-2064.

The providers at the behavioral health clinic will deliver a full range of services, working closely with WCHC’s primary care team to meet the growing mental health needs of the community. Behavioral health services at WCHC include, mental status exams, neurological screening exams, risk assessments, individual, group, and family therapies, medication initiation and monitoring, and care coordination and consultation. Each patient receives a personalized treatment plan designed to attain goals and help take control of their mental health.
