Jim Carlin, a candidate seeking the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate in Iowa, will visit Washington County on Monday. 

Carlin will visit Kalona at 2 p.m. to meet with local businesses and residents before travelling to Washington in the evening to attend the county GOP’s central committee meeting.

The evening meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at the Washington Pizza Ranch.

Carlin previously served Woodbury County in the Iowa State Senate.
