A Minnesota man wanted on murder charges was arrested after a multi-county pursuit that began in Washington County on Sunday afternoon. 

Officials arrested 45-year-old Randy Zimmerman of Courland, Minnesota, in Muscatine County. According to local officials, around 3 p.m. the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to information received of a wanted subject eastbound on Highway 92. A deputy was in pursuit of the vehicle driven by Zimmerman when the pursuit proceeded into Louisa County. 

The vehicle was stopped in Muscatine County where Zimmerman was subsequently arrested on a felony warrant out of Hanska County, Minnesota, for a double homicide. 

Zimmerman is currently being held in the Louisa County Jail where he is awaiting extradition by Minnesota officials. Local charges have yet to be filed.
