With Halloween on Friday, children across Washington County will be trick-or-treating, and some area cities have set aside times for the annual activity. Several cities will also have costume contests and trunk-or-treats that night.

Washington will host trick-or-treating on the Washington square from 5 to 6 p.m. and citywide trick-or-treating from 6 to 8 p.m.

Kalona will hold trick-or-treating throughout town from 5 to 7 p.m.

Riverside will host citywide trick-or-treating from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Wellman citywide trick-or-treating will be from 5 to 8 p.m.

Brighton will host a trunk-or-treat in Brighton City Park from 5:30 to 7 p.m. and citywide trick-or-treating from 5 to 8 p.m.

Ainsworth’s citywide trick-or-treating will be from 5 to 8 p.m.

Those on the roads are reminded to be extra cautious as children are out and about for the festivities.
