The Washington City Council approved a resolution declaring certain City property as surplus at their recent meeting.

City Administrator Joe Gaa gave more information to the Council, “It’s just the time of year that we usually start looking at what equipment we don’t need, since we’ve had some replacement things. Looking at, just around our shop yard, so that’s the eight items you see in front of you.”

The items included in the surplus are a 1997 International Fire Engine, 1997 Ford F-150 Pickup, 2001 Ford F-150 Pickup, Four Continental Tires, Five Storm Warning Sirens/Electrical Boxes, Fifteen sections of Drainage Pipe, a 1997 Ford Super Duty Critical Response Vehicle, and a 1000 Gallon Propane Tank. The items will be disposed of on a website that specializes in selling government surplus.
