
District 92 Representative Heather Hora was among a group of 13 state legislators honored in September by the Iowa Health Care Association (IHCA) for their outstanding service in support of Iowans in need of long-term care.
The other 12 legislators include: House Speaker Pat Grassley, Representatives Gary Mohr, Ann Meyer, Jane Bloomingdale, Hans Wilz, Brett Barker, Senate President Amy Sinclair, Senators Tim Kraayenbrink, Mike Bousselot, Kevin Alons, Kara Warme, and Senate Majority Leader Jack Whitver. Their outstanding support was in reference to their continued dedication to long-term care access.
The IHCA Outstanding Service Awards were presented at the IHCA Convention and Trade Show on September 22-24 in Des Moines. The convention was attended by more than 900 long-term care administrators, owners, nurses, dietary, activity, environmental and social services professionals, as well as businesses working with the long-term care profession from across Iowa.
IHCA represents organizations that provide long-term care to Iowans through nursing facilities, assisted living, residential care, senior living communities, home health agencies, home care and care continuum communities. IHCA is affiliated with the American Health Care Association, National Center for Assisted Living and National Association for Home Care and Hospice.
