Road construction will be starting on Wednesday, October 22nd in Washington County on 190th Street.

The Washington County Engineer’s office will close county road 190th Street to thru traffic between Vine Avenue and Yucca Avenue, approximately three miles north of G36 (220th Street) for grading and resurfacing the existing roadway.

The contract for this project was awarded to DeLong Construction, of Washington, for $480,145.93. DeLong Construction will restore the road cross section and work to improve drainage and snow removal operations by cleaning out ditches and laying some slopes back.

Construction is estimated to be completed in about two months; this is all dependent on the weather and long-range forecast. During the closure, to avoid delays, the public is encouraged to use alternate routes in the area. If you must use 190th Street, motorists are urged to exercise caution while traveling through the work zone and be prepared for travel delays.
