The Washington Community Theater will be putting on their final performances of Blithe Spirit by Noel Coward this weekend.

A smash comedy hit on London and Broadway stages, this much-revived classic from the playwright offers wit, conflict, and big laughs as a fussy, cantankerous novelist finds himself haunted by the ghost of his late first wife.

KCII spoke with Director Lynn Loula to find out what the audience can expect, “It’s funny and full of surprises, so, those would be a couple of things in this show that if you don’t know the show ahead of time, Blithe Spirit, if you haven’t heard this story, or seen the many, many movie versions, then you’ll just totally have a wonderful surprise ahead.”

The cast includes Casey Peiffer, Kelly Julesgaard, Brett Pierson, Pete Peterson, Rachel Nicola, Meredith Siemsen, and Amber Adkins.

The performances will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, the 17th, and Saturday, the 18th, and a matinee will be held Sunday, October 19th, at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are available at the box office before the show and are $15 for adults and $10 for students.
