Members of the Sigourney chapter of the Future Farmers of America travelled to Ames on Thursday for the state soil judging competition, where the Savages took home 11th place.
Taking the top three spots at the state competition were Clarinda, COLO-Nesco and Harlan.
The 11th place finish brings an end to a competition season for the team, which won the quad-county competition, took second at subdistricts, and placed third at districts earlier this fall.
