Join the Washington Public Library for their next Washington Writers Workshop on Saturday. The workshop will feature a presentation on craft by visiting writer Warren C. Longmire. 

Longmire is a poet, performer, and technologist from North Philadelphia. He is a co-founder of the Excelano Project Spoken Word Collective. He was featured in The Best American Poetry 2021 selected by Tracy K. Smith. His latest book, Bird/Diz [an erased history of bebop], was published by Bunny Presse in 2022. He is currently completing his MFA in Poetry at the Iowa Writers’ Workshop.

The first hour of the workshop will be an author presentation and the second hour will be focused on writer submissions. The free workshop is geared towards adults and teens, and is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
