
The first performance of the season is coming up for the Washington Performing Arts Series. The group M5 Mexican Brass will be performing on Sunday, October 12th, at 3:30 p.m. The group is celebrating their 20th year of performances.
Board President Millie Youngquist shared more on the event, and Latino Heritage Month, “Also, we realized after we had booked this group, that this is National Hispanic Heritage Month. It goes from September 15th to October 15th, and it is for recognizing the contribution and influence of hispanic culture to our countries achievements, culture, and history.”
M5 combines virtuosic musicianship, audience interaction, and dynamic showmanship to deliver a unique, theatrical musical experience. With a global touring history that spans Europe, Asia, North Africa, North and South America, and of course their home country of Mexico. Their program features a mix of classical, opera, jazz, and pop.
