Five local cross country teams appear in Monday’s set of rankings issued by the Iowa Association of Track Coaches.

In Class 3A, the Washington Demon boys are No. 20 in the team standings. The Demons have one ranked runner in their lineup with Andrew Rees at No. 22. The Demon girls have Iris Dahl at No. 19 in the individual poll.

In Class 2A, the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls check in at No. 5 in the team rankings this week. They have a pair of athletes in the individual poll with Brooklyn Stutzman No. 6 and Tessa Brokaw No. 11.

In Class 1A, the WACO Warriors are No. 7 in the boys team poll, led by Jude Dykstra No. 10 in the individual rankings. The Columbus Wildcats are right on their heels in eighth in the 1A boys team rankings. Individually, Troy Klett for Sigourney is ranked No. 25. A pair of local athletes appear in the individual 1A girls poll including WACO’s Josie Dykstra No. 23 and Sigourney’s Addison Yates No. 30.
