Walnut Street in Columbus Junction will see lane closures today as crews work to patch the site of a water main repair, the city’s public works department announced.

The city will utilize flaggers to control traffic through the work site between Legion and Collins Roads. The department asks that drivers take extra caution in the area when driving near flaggers and construction workers.

The city plans to repeat the process at the 2nd Street water main repair site early next week.

The 2nd Street construction site is where a water main needed replacement due to flooding over the summer.
