The Washington County Pork Producers will be hosting a 1000 pork burger giveaway on Wednesday, October 1st, at the Washington County Fairgrounds. 

Amanda Adams with the event shares details, “The event is going to be held at the Washington County Fairgrounds, and we are going to be giving away a pork burger meal. That includes a pork burger, a bag of chips, a cookie, an apple and water. And also inside of that bag is going to be a $1 off coupon for pork at Fareway. Some materials that explains what the pork industry does, both statewide and on a local level just here in Washington County.” 

The giveaway will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Attendees should use the south entrance of the Fairgrounds off of Highway 1.  

October is National Pork Month, and with this event, the Washington County Pork Producers are hoping to spread awareness about the importance of pork and increase consumer awareness.
