The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk volleyball team is hanging tough in the latest poll issued by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union. The Hawks check in at the No. 4 spot in Class 3A for the second straight week. Mid-Prairie has an 18-5 overall record and is 5-0 in the River Valley Conference. The Hawks have a Class 3A best 1,135 digs, 679 kills, fifth in 3A, 615 assists, sixth in 3A, 156 aces, second in 3A, 132 blocks, sixth in 3A, and a .319 swing efficiency, best in 3A. Individually, Jeorgia Evans leads with 317 digs, fourth in 3A and 41 aces, fourth most in 3A, Avery Helmuth has 286 assists, Jovi Evans 222 kills, third in 3A and a .377 efficiency, eighth in 3A, Laurin Fay has 35 blocks. Jovi Evans is also seventh in 3A with 37 aces and Elise Foster 10th with 258 digs. The teams above Mid-Prairie in the poll include No. 3 Cherokee Washington, No. 2 Davenport Assumption and No. 1 Western Christian.

The Golden Hawks are back on the court Thursday at Tipton.
