The Columbus Community School District kicked off their homecoming week Saturday with the coronation ceremony and dance, but there is a change to Friday’s activities with the cancellation of the football game. The Wildcats had been scheduled to play against New London.  

Due to injuries resulting in low numbers on the roster, New London announced their forfeit. 

The Columbus Wildcats will have their next football game on October 3rd against Wapello. 

Homecoming King Drew Totemeier and Queen Daniela Diaz were crowned royalty. The court also includes Kaleb Arreola, Leo Corona, Tyson Kaalberg, Dakota Aney, Jocelyn Hernandez, Jessica Del Rio, Tlaine Alvarado, and Dahlia Valdez. Homecoming activities for the rest of the week include dress up days, Ruff-N-Tuff volleyball and pep rally and bonfire on Friday.
