Pool play begins Thursday in the Southeast Iowa Superconference tournament, the league office released the seeds and sites for this year’s action earlier this week. In pool one at New London, the Winfield-Mt. Union Lady Wolves will represent the KCII listening area as the eight seed of 16 teams. They are joined by number one overall seed Holy Trinity Catholic, ninth seed Danville and 16 seed New London. The Lady Crusaders are ranked No. 1 in Class 1A.
A pair of KCII listening area teams travel to Burlington Notre Dame. The Columbus Wildcats are the 10th seed, Highland is the 14th seed. They will be joined by seventh seeded Central Lee and the home second seed Nikes.
Pool four at WACO high school features the 12th seed Hillcrest Academy Ravens and the 15th seeded home Warriors. They are joined by fourth seed Van Buren and fifth seed West Burlington.
Pool three at Wapello will be sixth seed Mediapolis, 13th seed Pekin, 11th seed Louisa-Muscatine and the home seventh seeded Arrows.
Action starts Thursday at 5p.m. With the top two teams from each location advancing to Saturday’s finals at Southeastern Community College in Burlington.
