The Highland School Board will meet for a work session on Monday, at which it will set goals for the rest of the fiscal year.

The goal setting session, which is the only item on Monday’s agenda, will be facilitated by the Iowa Association of School Boards. The board will establish goals that will guide its decisions going forward using tools and resources from the IASB. Currently, the board’s primary goal is focused on student testing scores, aiming for 80% proficiency in math and english/language arts testing across all grade levels.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. in the Highland Board Room.
