
A Washington man turned himself in on a warrant for felony criminal mischief Monday.
The Washington Police Department arrested 50-year-old Lloyd Gray on a first-degree criminal mischief charge, a class C felony. According to court records, on August 28th, an individual went to the Washington Police Department to report damage to his family’s grave stone in Elm Grove Cemetery. The individual identified Gray as a suspect. An officer met with Gray, and he admitted to damaging the grave stone with a sledgehammer. The damage was valued at $15,045 by a monument company.
Gray is currently being held in the Washington County Jail on a $10,000 bond. A preliminary hearing has been set for September 25th.
