The 26th annual Hospice of Washington County 5K Memorial walk/run fundraiser will be held this Saturday. Signs honoring loved ones who received hospice care will line the Kewash Trail.
Hospice of Washington County Office Administrator Tiffany Crawford shared how this event came to be, and what it means to the organization, “We felt like we needed to create something that would bring community, family, and friends together to come out and honor their loved ones. I just want to say that we are beyond grateful for the support of the community. Without them we wouldn’t be able to fulfill our mission as a non-profit hospice. So thank you to the community for being a central part of our journey.”
Registration the day of the race is available if you were not able to sign-up ahead of time. The event will begin and end in the lower section of Sunset Park, with check-in at 8 a.m. and the race beginning at 9 a.m. Teams of family members and loved ones are encouraged to participate. This event is an opportunity for family members and friends to honor past and present loved ones.
Funds raised with this event go to the continued operation of Hospice of Washington County. Hospice of Washington County is a community based not-for-profit hospice and palliative care agency that provides dignity and quality care for those with a life limiting illness.
