The Kalona City Council is set to meet on Monday and conclude its discussion of agricultural vehicle regulations that has taken place the past three months.
The ordinance will return for third reading and final consideration on Monday. If passed, the ordinance would disallow driving on 5th Street, B Avenue, C Avenue and any adjacent alleyways, and restrict parking on 4th Street, 6th Street, A Avenue and D Avenue, as well as the city hall, Kalona public library, and Gamble’s parking lots.
Discussion is also expected to continue on a new shelter at Vista Park and potential movement of a shelter at Kalona City Park.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. at the Kalona Community Center.
