The Sigourney Kiwanis pavillion project has been completed and is being transferred to the city.

At the Sigourney City Council’s Wednesday meeting, they approved the city’s mayor, Jimmy Morlan, to accept the transfer of the pavilion which was constructed over the summer.

Construction on the pavilion began on July 14 and was completed in late August. The $215,000 project was funded through a combination of Kiwanis Club fundraising and a $25,000 Washington County Riverboat Foundation grant received in the fall 2024 cycle.

The pavillion is located at the southeastern corner of the Sigourney square.

The Kiwanis Club is hosting a “Pavillion Party” on October 4 from 2:30 to 10:30 p.m. to celebrate the completion of the project.
