Union head coach Scott McCarty spoke on the KCII Radio Coaches Corner about the keys for his team week three. “(Against WACO) we had kind of a lack of discipline. We had to have had around 80 yards in penalties and ultimately, you’re never going to be that successful if you continue to battle yourself. Before we win Friday we have to win Monday, win Tuesday, win Wednesday, start stacking good practices. You can’t have a good one Tuesday, a bad one Wednesday and a good one Thursday. That’s not how good teams operate. I challenged them in the huddle postgame and said if you want to be a better team it starts with you making that decision. We’ll address it. Work through those issues and be ready to go Friday against English Valleys.”

The Bears have won seven of the last 10 meetings in the series, but the Wolves have taken it the last two years by a combined 134-22 score. Action starts Friday at 7p.m. At North English.
