It’s a week full of fun at Highland schools with Homecoming and the Huskies volleyball team added to the celebration Tuesday, scoring a sweep over their rivals from Lone Tree in Riverside. The Huskies were winners 25-19, 25-22 and 25-20. Highland leaders by the numbers included Ava Sexton with 11 assists, eight for Adisyn Prottsmann, Brena Hazelett with five kills, three each for Kamryn Fink, Katelyn Thomann and Prottsman. Defensively, Fink had nine digs, Prottsman five. Fink added a pair of blocks and Thomann and Sexton three aces each. For Lone Tree, Selena Vargas had nine assists, Charlie Kuboushek five kills, Dalanie Graap 12 digs, Alyson Ford and Harper Kuboushek two blocks each and Vargas and Macie Wageman two aces each. Highland improves to 3-6 with the win, while Lone Tree remains winless through six matches.
