Three farms in the KCII listening area will participate in the inaugural statewide Choose Iowa Farm Open House on September 13 and 14. Choose Iowa is a marketing program from the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship that promotes locally owned Iowa agricultural businesses.

Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig announced the event will include 55 Choose Iowa farms across the state, spanning from Rock Rapids in the northwest to Donnellson in the southeast.

Blueberry Bottom Farm in rural  Wayland, Calyx Creek Lavender and Lodging in Oxford, and Colony Acres Family Farm in North Liberty will be participating in the event.
