A Wayland man plead guilty to two felony drug charges.

Baylee Jon Escher was arrested in April of this year on the charges of controlled substance violation, failure to affix a drug tax stamp, and four counts of possession of a controlled substance third or subsequent offense.

According to court records, 27-year old Escher faced eight class D felony counts. Court records state that on September 5th, 2024, a search warrant was executed that found 188 grams of marijuana plant material, 21 various jars of THC wax with approximately 28 grams per jar, THC gummies and vape cartridges, $862, a digital scale, and a cell phone. The document states that Escher admitted to distributing the various drug-related items. The materials were confirmed by the DCI Lab.

Escher plead guilty to possession with intent to deliver and failure to affix a drug tax stamp, both class D felonies. All other charges were dismissed by the court. Escher was ordered to pay just over $2,000 and received a suspended 10-year term with five years of supervised probation.
