There are only two weeks left for interested candidates to file applications for school board and city council elections.
The election paperwork and candidate guide for the upcoming November 4, 2025, election are available. This election will include both city and school board seats.
Candidates must complete a nomination petition form and an affidavit of candidacy and obtain signatures for the petition form. The affidavit of candidacy form must be signed in the presence of a Notary Public, the central office staff are also available to notarize the document.
At the Washington School District positions that will be on the ballot include district 2, 5 and the At-Large seat. All completed paperwork must be filed with the Business Manger and Board Secretary at 404 West Main street in Washington by September 18th by 5 p.m.
The Washington City Council has four positions to be filled, including, Mayor, At Large City Councilor, Ward 2 City Councilor, and Ward 4 City Councilor.
