The Henry County Opioid Prevention Alliance is hosting an event to educate the public, especially parents, on teen drug use as the school year gets underway.
The event, titled “What every parent should know – the new drug threats facing teens today,” will be held at 6 p.m. tonight in the Mt. Pleasant Public Library. The event will feature a panel discussion with local officials on teen use of drugs from marijuana to opioids. The alliance hosting the event is made up of several agencies across Henry County, including Henry County Sheriff’s Office and Mt. Pleasant Police Department.
