The filing period is now open for Fall 2025 school board elections.

School board seats are up for election across all area school districts, most of which are four-year terms.

The filing period will close on September 18 at 5 p.m. and paperwork should be returned to the respective district’s board secretary. Candidates are required to gather petition signatures to appear on the ballot. The number of signatures varies based on district population, and candidates are encouraged to get more signatures than required in case of disqualified signatures.

The election will be held Tuesday, November 4th. Also on the ballot will be city council races, and in some jurisdictions voters will weigh in on bond measures or special issues.
