
The Washington City Council will be discussing a resolution to establish the 2025 North Central Urban Renewal Area.
At the August 5th Council meeting a public hearing was set for September 2nd to consider establishing the North Central Urban Renewal Area where the Havel Subdivision will be located. The proposed district is 4th and 6th Avenues, on the north side of Washington.
Also on the agenda is a special event request for the St James Fall Festival to be held on Sunday, September 7th.
Council will also consider a resolution for a compensation and classification study at a proposed amount of $18,165 with Graves Consulting, LLC. The study is described in council documents as, “the City’s primary objective for this project is to ensure the City is competitive externally with the labor market while maintaining equitable internal alignment within the organization.”
The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday at 6 p.m. to be held in Washington City Hall.
