The No. 4 in Class 3A Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk volleyball ran through the competition at Saturday’s Central Lee tournament to take home the title. It was a 5-0 day for the Golden Hawks with straight set wins over West Burlington 21-9 and 21-9, Pekin 21-6 and 21-11 and Central Lee 21-6 and 21-8. In three, Mid-Prairie beat Durant 19-25, 25-10 and 15-9 and Burlington 23-25, 25-16 and 15-7.

Stat leaders on the day for the Hawks included Avery Helmuth with 50 assists, Jovi Evans with 46. Jovi Evans led with 44 kills, Jeorgia Evans put down 27 and Harper Pacha 24. Jeorgia Evans was best with 46 digs, Elise Foster had 41 and Jovi Evans 40. At the net, Laurin Fay posted four blocks, it was two each for Jeorgia Evans, Katelyn Harland and Tessa Bombei. Jeorgia Evans had 13 aces and Jovi Evans seven. Mid-Prairie has rolled to an 8-0 start to the season. They will next be in action Thursday at West Branch.
