After one of the best seasons in program history, the Hillcrest Academy Raven softball team contiues to fill up the trophy case in Kalona with postseason awards. Senior star Delaney Shaw was named Third-Team Class 1A All-State by the Iowa Girls Coaches Assocation.
Shaw finished eighth in Class 1A crushing five home runs and 10th with a .608OBP. Shaw led the team in those two numbers along with a Hillcrest best .532 average, .797 slug, 1.406OPS and 36RBI. She also totaled 42 hits and scored 33 times. All of those stats are top five in the Southeast Iowa Superconference North Division where she was named a Second-team All-Conference catcher. Shaw was also Class 1A IGCA All-District.
Hillcrest Academy ended the season with a 13-15 overall record, their most wins since 2011.
