
Two people were arrested over the weekend in Washington on multiple charges including conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. According to the Washington Police Department, at 10:18 p.m. Saturday, officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of South 4th Avenue and Washington Street. Authorities arrested 36-year old Teresa Moore of Kinross and 36-year old Lucas Koehler of Washington.
Moore and Koehler were each charged with possession with intent to deliver methamphetamines, a class B felony; possession of a controlled substance marijuana first offense, a serious misdemeanor; and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to court records, Koehler and Moore were found to “unlawfully manufacture, deliver or possess with intent to manufacture or deliver, a controlled substance to-wit: more than five kilograms of a substance containing a detectable amount of methamphetamine.” Officers also discovered a scale, baggies, and a “large sum of money.” Five kilograms is equal to just over 11 pounds.
They were taken to the Washington County Jail.
