Intermittent lane closures will once again slow down commutes on Highway 218 southbound in Washington County, the Iowa Department of Transportation has announced. The construction will go from Riverside to Ainsworth.

From now until September 16, road construction will cause periodic lane closures between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday on Highway 218 southbound between Highway 22 and Highway 92.

The construction follows a full summer of road work on Highway 218, which caused lane and exit closures periodically.
