The Iowa State Fair saw local participation in different competitions, with winners bringing home top honors. 

The horseshoes Two-Player Pro Am Tournament Championship Class saw two locals take third place. Steve Miller from Wayland, and Justin Zaugg from Washington teamed up to compete. 

The Hawkeye Pedal Pull saw Addison Syfert from Lockridge take first place and Lindsey Schneider from Washington take second place in the 10-year old girls division. 

Dan Hogan from Riverside took third place in the adult category for the piano playing competition.
