The Kalona City Council will meet Monday with the 2024-2025 road report and the waiver of a plat review set for the agenda.

The council will discuss a resolution waiving the council’s right to review a plat for John Stumpf. According to City Administrator Ryan Schlabaugh, the land being considered, which is south of the Kalona Golf Club, is split between the jurisdiction of the city and Washington County and is not buildable. The process is being done to better define land access.

The meeting will conclude with an analysis of the 2024-2025 road report. Following the meeting, the council will tour two recently completed projects, the student-built house project and the shelter adjacent to the municipal pool, which recently underwent renovation.

The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. in the Kalona Community Center.
