Southeast Iowa could see more excessive heat and humidity this weekend and into early next week.

According to the National Weather Service of the Quad Cities, increased heat and humidity will be seen across the area. The worst conditions are expected today and Sunday with a high probability of heat indices of over 100 degrees.

To stay safe during excessive heat, people should drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
