Hillcrest Academy softball standout Delaney Shaw impressed on the diamond this summer, earning a selection to the Iowa Girls Coaches Association Class 1A All-Southeast District Team.
The Raven senior finished eighth in Class 1A crushing five home runs and 10th with a .608OBP. Shaw led the team in those two numbers along with a Hillcrest best .532 average, .797 slug, 1.406OPS and 36RBI. She also totaled 42 hits and scored 33 times. All of those stats are top five in the Southeast Iowa Superconference North Division where she was named a Second-team All-Conference catcher.
Hillcrest Academy ended the season with a 13-15 overall record, their most wins since 2011.
