The Washington County Board of Supervisors reappointed two commission seats and one board seat at their Tuesday meeting. 

They reappointed Ruth Jones to the Washington County Land Use and Planning Commission for a three-year term ending June 2028. The Washington County, Iowa Land Use and Planning Commission is made up of seven citizens appointed by the Board of Supervisors to 3-year terms. The majority of the Commissioners reside in the unincorporated areas of the County. The Commission has the responsibility for review and recommendation to the Board of Supervisors for subdivision preliminary plats and for amendments, changes or modifications to the Subdivision Ordinance and the Comprehensive Plan. They meet annually to elect officers, or when there are applications pending. 

Greg Goodman was reappointed to the Civil Service Commission for a six-year term ending August 2031. 

They also reappointed Steve Swaffer to the Washington County Board of Adjustment for a five-year term ending June 2030. The Washington County Board of Adjustment is a quasi-judicial board made up of five citizens appointed by the Board of Supervisors to a five-year term.
