Gingko Avenue from 170th Street north to Wellman will be getting a new overlay. 

Washington County will be utilizing Surface Transportation Block Grant Program funding for this project. The Surface Transportation Block Grant (STBG) program provides flexible funding that may be used by states and localities for projects to preserve and improve the conditions and performance on any Federal-aid highway, bridge and tunnel projects on any public road. 

The STBG program funding is made available through the state transportation agencies. The County will be reimbursed by the program for a set amount, once the project is completed. 

This is the first step in the overlay project. Next, the county will put it out to bid then have to approve the contractor.
