After a successful summer season, the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk baseball team had six members named All-River Valley Conference.
Senior Tatem Telfer was a First-Team All-RVC choice as a pitcher. He finished with a 5-1 record, the team leader in wins. His 85 strikeouts were fifth in Class 2A and his 31 walks were ninth fewest in the state. He allowed a total of 22 hits, a .139 opponent average, 14 earned runs, 2.15ERA and 1.16WHIP. At the plate, Telfer was the team leader with a .329 average, .486OBP, .488 slug, and .974OPS. He finished with 27 hits, 24 walks, 21RBI and 16 runs scored.
Senior Brady Weber was a second team choice as a pitcher. Weber had a 4-3 record with a .169 opponent average, allowing, 26 hits, 12 earned runs, walking 17 and striking out 56 with a team-leading 2.03ERA and 1.04 WHIP. At the plate, Weber hit .263 with a .386OBP, .326 slug and .712OPS. He finished with 25 hits, 15RBI, 14 runs scored, 13 steals and 12 walks.
Senior Blake Swart was a second team RVC outfield selection. Swart hit .270 for the year with a .414OBP, .371 slug and .785OPS. He finished with a team best 23 runs scored and 23 steals, to go with 24 hits, 14RBI, and 16 walks.
Junior Gentry Bontrager was a second team All-River Valley catcher. Bontrager hit .247 with a .347OBP, .247 slug and .611OPS. He had a total of 20 hits, 18 runs, 13 driven in and 15 walks. He threw out three base runners this year. Bontrager had a 1-3 record on the mound with a .342 opponent average, 38 hits allowed, 18 earned runs, 10 walks, 4.85ERA and 1.85WHIP.
Sophomore Brooks Weber was a second team RVC infielder. Weber hit .309 with a .404OBP, .457 slug and .861OPS. He had a team best 29 hits, scorig 22 runs, driving in 15, 12 steals and walking nine times. Behimd the plate he threw out three runners. On the mound, Weber had a 4-1 record, .243 opponent average on 26 hits, 12 earned runs, 18 walks, 33 strikeouts, a three ERA and 1.57WHIP.
Senior Conner Wiles was an honorable mention selection. Wiles hit .231 with a .479OBP, .400 slug and .879OPS. He finished with 15 hits, 18 runs, 20RBI and 22 walks. On the mound, Wiles recorded a team best three saves, and 1-2 record. He gave up 25 hits, 11 earned runs, eight walks and 10 strikeouts with a 5.25ERA and 2.25WHIP.
The Golden Hawks ended the season with a 16-13 overall record.
