The Washington County Riverboat Foundation is seeking to fill three board member positions. 

The term will begin January 2026 and end January 2029. The application can be found at washingtoncountyriverboatfoundation.org. Applications will be accepted from anyone who lives or works in Washington County. However, WCRF’s main emphasis on director openings this year will be from rural Washington and the towns of Kalona and Ainsworth. Board members represent the entire Washington County area.

Applicants should also be aware that they will be required to undergo an extensive background check by the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation and be required to attend meetings at different locations around the county. The deadline for submitting applications is September 17th. 

The fall grant application cycle is currently open, and will close on September 15th. The fall grants will be announced on November 19th. The 2024 fall grant cycle awarded $1,430,053.
