
Three area flood warnings along the Iowa River are in place through this weekend. According to the National Weather Service, the flood warning at Wapello is in place through Saturday afternoon. On Thursday morning water reached 21.9 feet while flood stage there is 21 feet. Minor flooding is occurring.
The flood warning at Oakville is also in place through Saturday afternoon. On Thursday morning water was at 11.7 feet, and flood stage there is 11 feet. Flooding of agricultural land is ongoing and nearby county roads are under water and closed.
At Marengo the flood warning is in place through Sunday morning. Moderate flooding is occurring with extensive inundation of agricultural land. On Thursday water was at 17.2 feet, more than two feet above flood stage. It is expected to fall below flood stage late Saturday evening.
