
The Iowa and Cedar Rivers have flood warnings in place at this time.
According to the National Weather Service in the Quad Cities, minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast for the Cedar River in Conesville. The flood stage there is 13 feet and on Monday it reached nearly 14 feet. The flood warning there is set through Thursday night.
The Iowa River has three flood warnings in place in the KCII-listening area including at Marengo, Wapello, and Oakville. Moderate flooding at Marengo is forecast and the warning there is in place until Saturday evening. The flood warning at Wapello and Oakville is in place through Saturday. Minor flooding is forecast.
Remember to turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
