The Washington Area Ministerial Alliance, in conjunction with Washington County businesses, community members, and the Salvation Army, will be holding a school supply giveaway Thursday for area children.  

Pastor Darryl Carr with the Ministerial Alliance invites students and their families to the event,  “Let me just say, even if you got them last year, you are more than welcome to come. If you still have your backpack from last year, that’s fine, bring it, and we’ll be happy to have you go through.” 

Backpacks and supplies will be available for children or caregivers to choose from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Washington Public Library. The supplies are for grades pre-k through 12th grade in the Washington School District.
