Women are invited to tour area agriculture businesses through the return of the Women’s Farm Crawl. The event will be held on August 22. Field Agronomist and event coordinator Rebecca Vittetoe shares it is a learning experience, “So, most people are probably more familiar with our Women in Ag Conference that we do in March, but this farm crawl is just kind of a unique networking opportunity and also just to learn about maybe some different types of farms and operations here locally, as well.”

Attendees will visit multi-generational farm with diversification at West Fork Farmstead near West Chester, Twin County Produce Auction and Stringtown Grocery in Kalona, lunch will be a traditional Amish meal provided by Miller Homestead Cooking in Kalona, and the final stop is HB Flowers and Beef which will share their farm and passion for cut flowers.

The full Friday of activities runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is $50. To register, contact the Washington County Extension Office or sign up online.
