The Keota Eagles turned to younger players to lead the way this season on the baseball diamond, and three of those rising stars have earned all-conference honors in the South Iowa Cedar League.
That includes freshman Blake Baker, who is a second-team choice at infielder after leading Keota with a .462 batting average, 24 total hits and 20 runs batted in.
The Eagles also received honorable mentions for sophomore Brennan McGuire and junior Chase Haifley, who helped them win six games in conference play and go 7-11 overall.
